What type of diet and excersize should I try in order to tone my stomach?

I’m not willing to run and I know that it’s the best way but I’m not good at it,
so please don’t tell me to run. Maybe brisk walking, but I know that it won’t really tone.
If you have a diet that’s worked for you, let me know, I’m willing to try it.

I don’t know if it’ll help at all but I’m 5′6 and about 130lbs,
I’m trying to loose 5lbs and tone my stomach.

  1. Running is good for you haha. But if your trying to tone your stomach you want to eat less carbohydrates. Here’s what happens when you excercize…your body first uses all the carbohydrates in your blood stream, when they are all gone your body produces insulin to break down the carbohydrates stored in your muscles, this is called glycogen, when all or most of these carbohydrates are gone your body starts to break down and use fats and lipids. I wish I could tell you some crazy fat melting dieting secrets, but there really aren’t any in my opinion. Here is what I would do if I was you. Eat 6 small low or no carb healthy foods. Vegitables fruits and yogurt are perfect. The point of eating more is to raise your metabolism. Drink plenty of water and take multi vitamins. Now for excersizing tone stomach means core excercizes are what you want to research you could also take a yoga class it may seem stupid but as an mma fighter I’m saying that it’s actually really good for you. so I hope this helps.   2. You might not know this, but direct abdominal exercises have little to no effect on losing stomach fat and toning your abs.

    Ab exercises train your abdominal muscles but do nothing to burn the layer of fat sitting on top. To really get a flat, lean stomach, you need to place your focus on proper nutrition and exercises that burn fat from your entire body as a whole.

  3. Exercise and diet are both required in gaining a six-pack. High protien and carbohydrates and every other day working your abs will get you a nice set of of abs. Don’t forget to keep working your abs or your muscle will just turn into fat. You will gain weight at first because muscle weighs more than fat, but working out will help you lose all that fat. I hope this works for you.
