im trying to lose weight . im not really fat but im thick. lik i have fat on my tummy and a little bit on my legs and but. i want to lode it in a healthy way. and i was thinking about drinking a protein shake.which one should i use and any other diet tips. and yes i do excercise so i dont need anyone to say that i just have very bad eating habbits and i just want to learn to control that and lose weight

    I use protein shake once in an while when I have no time to prepare a meal; however you should emphasize on getting healthy habits and make the time to prepare healthy foods.

    I personnally like the one with less carbs and more protein. IIt is called Whey Protein and it has only 90 calories per serving and 2 grams of carbs. You can find it at GNC. Just read the labels and you will find it.

    Vanilla flavor makes it easier to blend with all kinds of fruits. My favorite recipe is:
    1 banana
    1 servings of protein powder
    2 freshly squeezed juice oranges
    2 tbs grounded flax seeds (for Omega 3 and fiber)

    1. walk (if you have a dog you found a faithful walking buddy)
    If you like dogs and do not have one, volunteer at your local SPCA to walk the shelter dogs, you will do them – and yourself a big favor at the same time.

    2. drink at least 2 liters of water a day (it helps flush the fat)

    3. avoid fried foods

    4. fill 1/2 your plate with vegetables, 1/4 with lean meats (chicken, fish or tofu) and the remaining 1/4 with either potatoes, brown rice or whole wheat noodles.

    5. stick with whole wheat bread and low fat margarine

    6. stay away from sugar.

    7. eat snacks (ideally: low fat yogourt or low fat cheese with a fruit) twice daily. I love the 94% fat free popcorn.

    If you are a teen-ager you should not be starving yourself, you are growing up, so eat all you want but choose the right foods.

    Measure yourself to see the change. Muscles weigh more than fat, so you might loose fat but it might not be showing on the scale. Your clothes will start to feel loose soon.

    If you eat 3 meals a day and 2 snacks a day, and you keep drinking water and exercise everyday, you will speed up your metabolism and therefore burning more fat. In addition, you will not be as hungry and it will be easy.

    Make sure you eat protein at least 3 times a day. (Meat, tofu, cheese, fish) it will keep you satisfied and full.

    Did you know that walking is the best exercise to loose fat? A Phd in physical education informed me of that and I was very surprised.
    I have been walking 1 hour a day and it really works; my waist has been shrinking faster than when I used to do aerobics.

  2. drink a lot of green tea. at least 3 cups a day if you can and drink a lot of water. basically just don’t drink anything other than tea and water. not even juice. juice can actually be horrible for your diet because it just adds on extra calories. fresh fruit is way better.

  4. A persons weight is controlled the same way as your bank account. If you put more in than you are taking out then you have reserves, and vice versa. The body has to move a lot more then it has in the past if you are over your ideal weight. Dont get hooked on diets and programs others do up for you and you pay for. Change your own lifestyle, set goals and stick with them ,stop any and all excuses,,,,, If you want ten pounds off then start being more active every day and cut back on the foods you know you dont need. Think of your body as the best friend you will ever have in life and treat it with great respect. Dont feed it trash that is bad for it. Have a water bottle on the go all the time, it can help curb your appetite, dont have trash food in the house, only have some milk before bed no heavy snacking. Exercise one body part per day with small weights and many repetitions to make it sore and burning more calories. Good Luck.
