I am 14. 5 ft 10 in. 200 lbs.
i want to lose some weight by next august, the whole family is going on a vaca to the beach together, and i want to look good.
i am sorta upset about my weight, luckly i can fit into the biggest size (XL) at american eagle and aeropostale and still look pretty good.
i want to loose weight mainly in my belly and thighs.
what should i eat?
how long should i exercise?
what are some good sports for me to play?
how much should i lose a week?
can i reach my goal (150 or less) by august if i exercise/eat right daily?

i am homebound due to fibromyalgia and cronic fatigue, so i am not at school, and not very active during the day, i dont usually wake up until 1 or 2 pm.

please help :]

  1. Well, try to stay away from carbs and fat. Eat lots of veggies and salad and proteins. Drink lots of water, and if you need vitamin C don’t slack. (Since your home due to illness you need to alter your diet & exercise to fit).

As for exercise, you should look into dance, try the thigh master (honestly dont know why but my friend uses it works out thighs and butt awesome) and all you have to do is lay on the floor and squeeze your thighs together against the springs. Also do lots of stretching. Good luck!

  3. Ideally, you should lose 1-2 pounds per week so your goal of losing 50+ lbs by August is reasonable. To make sure your losing inches, you should do cardio most often but make sure to include weight training once or twice a week. Your body will want to eat more to replace the calories so make sure you monitor your eating. As long as you maintain healthy eating habits and consistent excerise, you should be good.

    Good luck!

  4. eat lots of vegtables and cut down on starchy foods replace drinks like juice coke or anything else with water and eat a balanced diet and cut down on things with sugar what also helps is to keep yourself busy when your borred people tend to eat alot more than they would have if they were doing a hobby of some sort like anything really, swimming is a good sport because its easy on your joints and strenghtins you alot easly you should excercize maybe once a day for maybe like only half an hour and as you go you can excersise more and more. 3 pounds would be a good ammount to loose a week if you lose to much your body might not be too healthy , you should be able to lose 50 pounds but if you dont you shouldnt worry about it and whatever you do DONT stop eating its really not healthy for you and you will just gain the pounds back after that

  5. first thing - find out your base metabolic rate, many MANY free websites can do this for you.

secondly, figure out how much you need to eat to lose weight, try about 500 calory a day deficit (ie if you burn 1800 cals a day with your metabolism, eat 1300 cals a day)

thirdly, eat more healthy - more fruit and vegetables, more whole grains etc. healthy foods, don’t eat a lot of junk food, a little is okay, but everything in moderation, right?

fourthly, start some cardio, 30-60 minutes, 3-4 times a week. i started with just walking around a small lake that’s by our house, 30 minutes a day, then bumped it up slowly to 60 minutes. walking is WAY better than people give it credit for.

fifth - have FUN!! there is no way you can stay on a regime if you’re not having fun.

I wish you the best of luck, I started a new routine exactly one year ago today (the old new year’s resolution, right?) and have lost 50 pounds in the last year! so it works. basics: cardio and eating.
